Looking Back

2015 was an exciting year in ballet. And in case you have been living under a rock, here are some of the great highlights of 2015 Ballet.

Misty Copeland and Stella Abrera were made principals at American Ballet Theatre.
Jeffrey Cirio left Boston Ballet, while premiering the Cirio Collective, and joined ABT as a soloist.
Lauren Lovette became a principal at NYCB
Choreographers have been coming out of the woodworks.
PNB premiered Balanchine’s Nutcracker with fantastic reviews and amazing costumes gaining Elizabeth Murphy her promotion to principal.
Matthew Rush premiered “Odetta” for Alvin Ailey.

And I barely survived. While 2015, was a great year for ballet 2016 has a lot of promise as well. With the YAGP, around the corner and with budding new ballet superstars waiting for their big moment 2016 promises big things.

Now, personally, I would like to take the time to reflect on my life. Redlands Dance Theatre premiered an epic showcase of talent, accomplishment and power. We are now starting to fundraise for our Spring Showcase. It will be another huge campaign of fundraising close to 8,000. But well worth it. My personal life is bland, and now single for 5 years. Awesome. My family is doing well, the holidays are hard since my dad passed away almost two years ago. My friends are everything and I enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. I hope you all have wonderful holidays.
