A week in ballet … 5.8.16-5.14.16

A week in Ballet

A week in ballet… It is Friday night and now Saturday morning and while normally I would be at some posh Hollywood club, a fashion event or a networking event on a rooftop bar…. my Friday nights now have been catching up on my own life, reading ballet reviews and doodling… Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining… I have a decent bottle of wine (LAMADRID GRAN RESERVA 2011) here with me, so I am quite content… I am probably going to miss the world of fashion the most because of the free gifts lol… I haven’t really had to buy a bottle of anything over the past 4 years… Anyways… my personal life isn’t really as exciting as what is happening in ballet… Because it has been a crazy week in ballet!

NYCB had a fantastic week…

Joffrey had their premier of CINDERELLA and it had pretty stellar reviews all the way around…. read review click here\

Boston Ballet is killing Swan Lake and you can still see it! Click here for tickets.

ABT…  MAY 12, 2016: I would have killed to see this performance… Gillian Murphy was injured so ABT subbed Maria, Hee and Isabella for her each in a different act with both Roberto Bolle and Marcello Gomes as Aminta… Also Gisele Bethea got a corps contract… I don’t know who else did… I tried looking on Social Media… stalker I know…

English National Ballet announced their live stream of their emerging dance program for Tuesday… So that will be exciting. From their PR videos… Rina Kanehara, who won at the Prix last year is looking pretty spectacular…

PNB announced their season… and it looks like it is going to bangin..

Royal Ballet School had their year-end performance with ABT2… and their graduates are going on to big companies… (okay so that was last week but still)

Australian Ballet is killing it down under… They are doing a triple bill… Wheeldon’s DGV, Kylian’s Forgotten Land, and Forsythe’s in the middle… here. Australian Ballet’s PR team is sooo good… no joke.

The warehouse has been busy and Edgar has been doing a pretty good job getting all that together. Mmmmm, I’m still single, but that is nothing new. lol. Annnnd…. i am pretty exhausted between client work, Nutcracker, technical book, and updating insta … I am like … hand cramps.
